The American Legion’s System Worth Saving Task Force is conducting veterans town hall meetings on VA health-care quality in Renton, Wash., and Gautier, Miss. Both meetings will take place at 6 p.m.
The meetings will take place at American Legion Post 19, 3224 NE 12th St.,Renton; and at American Legion Post 1992, 3824 Old Spanish Trail, Gautier.

American Legion National Commander Fang A. Wong is scheduled to appear at the 63rd Connecticut Armed Forces Day Luncheon in Southington, Conn. Wong will serve as guest speaker and present awards.
The national commander plans to visit a number of Connecticut posts and meet with state Gov. Dannel Malloy.

National staff from the Legion's Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation Division travel to Louisiana for three days to provide department service officers with training in the filing of military pension claims.
